Hazel Flagg (1953)

Opened at Mark Hellinger Theatre
Opened: February 11, 1953
Closed: September 19, 1953
Poor Hazel Flagg is dying of radium poisoning - or is she? Well, anyway, someone said she was, and why let the truth spoil a hot human interest story? In the hands of an enterprising reporter, Hazel's "tragic" story is shared with a cynical New York, but the city's heart melts, for as the mayor tells Hazel, "Ev'ry Street's A Boulevard In Old New York." As long as no one finds out that Hazel is in perfect health, everything will be just fine.
